Hotel Palladio - Malcontenta

Great service within 20 km of the airport. Set within 5 minutes walk from Parrocchia Sant'ilario, the hotel was also next to many city attractions. We appreciated breakfast and people here, everything needed for our holiday was provided.

far from Venice. bus stop is nearby, buses go about once an hour (the schedule hangs at the stop).

The staff was all friendly. Proximity to a ferry port helped to explore Marghera.

Shuttle service to Venice Location

The hotel is what it is if you want to visit Venice and don't want to pay to stay in the city, and pay city prices. The hotel does a morning free shuttle to the city and you can buy a bus ticket back for 2.5 euros from the hotel to get back and the bus stops right in front of the hotel. Not bad. Rooms are basic and adequate.If you are only spending a night or 2 then that is all you need. Breakfast is also basic but better than we had at the other 6 hotels we stayed at and is plenty to start the day.

Not a gripe but it is out of the main areas, so the eating places are not all that convenient. So have dinner in Venice and then catch the bus back to the hotel.They have a pc internet access is 3 euros for 30 mins.

The hotel is situated a short road or rail trip from Venice, the main purpose of our stay. The room was clean and well equiped, and had air- conditioning which was useful with the warm weather at the time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a free shuttle minibus to Venice, but the local Malcontenta/Venice bus (2 Euros) stops right outside the hotel.

The hotel Palladio does not offer any dinner service. This is not too much of a problem if you don't mind walking to a restaruant in town, but is unusual for a hotel of this size.

Helpfullness of the staff, breakfast quite fair for a 3 stars hotel. Easy to reach Venice with public transportation.

The village where it is located does not offer any attractivity, no bars or cafés. The shuttle bus travels only 4 times in the morning without any return trip and cannot be reserved in advance.

Price was good for the location.

Air Conditioning did not work and no fans in rooms. Had to leave windows open and then you heard all the noise from returning party goers and traffic. Menu selection was limited and much less than 3 years prior.

No free internet connection (only quite expensive 1E/hour) Distance to Venice, crowded and delayed public buses with bad navigation (no traffic schedules on stops etc.)

Average 3 star hotel. Very good breakfast (excluding the grumpy ladies from staff sneaking around). The free transfer to Venice is One way only, with limit of 7 people per Transfer, 4 times in the morning. If you travel with small child be prepared to be charged 30 euro per night in addition. When checking in, Try not to mention about the kid and you have a good chance to save this money.

They charge as a an adult any kid over the age of two. This is unacceptable, its not an airplane ticket right? The WiFi is paid and overpriced, so nobody is using it. Complete stupid approach of the management - guys, we are not in the 90's anymore.. They should realise that 90% of the people seek price, location and free internet. So in this case they have 2 out of 3 pros.
